Microsclerotherapy of both legs in one session

When spider veins and small visible veins are present on both legs, they can be treated during a single microsclerotherapy session. During the procedure, the doctor injects a specialised solution directly into selected superficial vessels, causing them to gradually close. The number and distribution of visible vessels may differ between the two legs. Before the procedure, the doctor assesses the areas to be treated and determines the scope of microsclerotherapy within a single session.

FAQ

Why can veins look worse immediately after microsclerotherapy?

Treated vessels do not disappear immediately after microsclerotherapy. During the first few days, they may become darker, firmer, or even more noticeable. This happens because, after the solution is injected, the treated vessel gradually closes and is then absorbed by the body.

Fine spider veins may begin to fade over the following weeks, while larger reticular veins can remain visible for longer. For this reason, the result should not be assessed just a few days after the procedure.

In some cases, brown pigmentation may appear along the treated vessel. It develops as changes occur within the vessel after treatment and usually fades gradually.

That is why it is important not only to allow time for the treated vessels to gradually become less visible but also to follow the doctor’s recommendations and attend a follow-up examination at the recommended time.

If you are planning microsclerotherapy of both legs, a consultation with a surgeon is an opportunity to discuss what changes to expect after the procedure, when the result can be assessed, and whether an additional stage of treatment may be needed.

Booking microsclerotherapy of both legs

Microsclerotherapy can be performed on both legs during a single session. During the examination, the doctor determines the injection sites and assesses the extent of the vessels that can be treated during the procedure.

Book a consultation with a surgeon to discuss microsclerotherapy. If an assessment of venous blood flow is needed, the doctor may recommend an ultrasound examination of the lower-extremity veins.
